This SMS / Text Messaging Policy explains how Stoa Therapy Inc (“Stoa Therapy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses text messages related to our website and telehealth speech-language pathology services. It applies only to Stoa Therapy communications.

Program description

If you opt in, Stoa Therapy may send text messages about:

  • Appointment reminders and schedule confirmations
  • Rescheduling or cancellation notices
  • Short service updates related to your inquiry, consultation, or care
  • Replies when you text us with a question about an upcoming appointment

These messages are for Stoa Therapy service communications. They are not emergency alerts. For emergencies, call 911.

How to opt in

You may opt in by providing your mobile number and consenting through a Stoa Therapy web form, intake process, or other clear written request. Consent to receive texts is not required as a condition of purchasing services.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on your appointments and account activity. You may receive several messages around scheduling events and fewer messages at other times.

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile carrier plan for details. Stoa Therapy does not charge a separate fee for sending SMS, but your carrier might.

STOP and HELP

  • Reply STOP to opt out of Stoa Therapy text messages. You will receive a confirmation, and we will stop sending texts to that number (except as needed to confirm the opt-out).
  • Reply HELP for help, or email contact@stoa-therapy.com or call (517) 997-8198.

You may also request removal by emailing us with the mobile number to opt out.

No third-party marketing share of opt-in

Stoa Therapy does not sell your SMS opt-in information. We do not share your mobile opt-in consent with third parties for their own marketing. We may use service providers (for example messaging platforms) solely to deliver texts on our behalf. Those providers are not permitted to use your opt-in for their independent marketing.

Privacy

How we collect and use personal information more broadly is described in our Privacy Policy. Mobile numbers provided for SMS are used for the messaging program described here and related service operations.

Supported carriers and delivery

Texts are typically available on major U.S. carriers. Delivery is subject to your carrier network. Stoa Therapy is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages caused by carrier or device issues.

We may update this SMS policy from time to time. The effective date above will change when updates are posted.
